About Us
Interamerican Bank was founded in 1976. Agustin C. Velasco,
one of the original founders, holds the office of President
and serves as a Director for the institution. Agustin F. Velasco
serves as C.E.O. Presently, the bank has four (5) branches in
Miami-Dade County with a Loan Production Office in West Palm
Beach, and employs a staff of over 100 employees.
Interamerican Bank is pleased to announce that it is rated superior
by IDC Financial Publications, Inc. and has been honored with
Five Stars from Bauer Financial Reports, Inc. for 31 consecutive
quarters. Furthermore, the bank is proud to state that, as of
its last examination, it was awarded a CRA rating (Community
Reinvestment Act) of Outstanding.
Interamerican Bank is a solid financial institution insured
by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation ("FDIC") and it
answers to the Office of Thrift Supervision as the appropriate
Regulatory Authority. As of August 31, 2009, the bank had $249,000,000
in assets with a 1.4% return on assets and a10% capital ratio.
